Proverbs 1:8 " Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching"
This chapter of the bible is saying how we should listen to our father and mother. It is saying we should never forsake what they say. This verse goes along with the 4th commandment which states "Honor your father and mother."
To follow this verse I am going to listen to what my dad says and do my best to reason with him.
Good advice given here. It's tough to actually listen to advice from a parent because they seem so out of touch with the world as it is today. But trust them, they've been around the block a few times and know what's going on in life. Gotta give 'em more credit than what they get now, they know what they're talking about.
