Proverbs 11:24 One person gives freely, yet gains even more;
another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
This verse is talking about how when you give to others you gain so much becuase you have done a good thing. Gain so much more in spirit. If you keep everything to yourself you might have all these material things. You dont have anything to gain in faith. Your faith is the most important thing. The materials you obtain from people are not nearly as important as the gifts you receive from God.
I am going to follow this verse of the bible becuase it is truly important to me and I truly believe in it.
I am going to be as generous as I can and not be as selfish as I have been. If someone is in need of something I will help them out and try to become a better person.

Proverbs 10
Proverbs 10:4 "Lazy hands make for poverty,
but diligent hands bring wealth. "
This verse is saying how if you are slothful you will receive poverty. If you are diligent you will receive wealth. I took it as not poverty as in poor and having no money but poor in spirit. I took being wealthy as being wealthy in your faith. You will be sorrowful if you are lazy and you will be happy if you are diligent.
One way I could follow this verse is I could help the poor out like serve at a soup kitchen. Another way I could help out is I could serve mass at church more often.

Proverbs 9:12 "If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you;
if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer. "
This verse talks about how if you make good choices and are smart. It will reward you. If you dont make good choices you will suffer from it. You will also be alone when you suffer because no one wants to be around a mocker. It teaches us to be smart with our decisions and think before we act. This stuck out to me because there are so many times I wish I would have thought before I made a decision. It could have saved me from sufferage.
One step I am going to take is before any decision that I make I am going to think how it will affect me in the long run. I am also going to be less of a mocker. I want to be nicer to people.

This story is a good feature story because it is about maybe one of the most famous faces in college football. It is a good feature story because right now everyone is talking about Joe Paterno's death and his legacy he left.

2. New Years Resolution
These two would be good feature stories. The first one is good because you get different students opinions on the fact that we have had zero snow days. Also it relates to everyone student in the school because everyone has their own thoughts on snow days. Feature Story
I chose the feature story about the cruise ship in Italy. The reason I chose that story is because unfortunately people like to read about tragedies. This story can catch someones eye. It is easy to read and hard to take your eye off of it. Another reason is because this story will not be the last. There will be many more stories like this because they are still finding bodies and trying to work through this terrible process. You could argue that any story could be a feature story, but your story has to get your reader's attention. It has to relate to all kinds of people and I think this story does that.
